President's message Come and join the KELTA, and find fulfillment and happiness! Welcome to KELTA, the Korea English Language Testing Association! I hope you will find fulfillment and happiness as a member of KELTA. As the president of KELTA, I welcome you all to this professional English language testing research and development organization. In modern society, practically no body is free from tests. In particular, those of us who are in the language teaching profession cannot do without them in our day-to-day jobs. Testing should not remain an exclusive possession of a small number of testing specialists any longer. It should be more popularized. 'Popularization' means, to cause to be well known and generally liked or used, or to make something easily understandable by ordinary people. I want to popularize English language testing together with you, and will make every endeavor to do so. Recently the central government has been making a great effort to launch the National English Ability Test (NEAT) which includes tests of all four skills of English. People are starting to pay attention to the NEAT, and to language testing in general. However, language testing is often considered too technical, and too difficult or even boring by people around us. This should be alleviated and rectified by those who know the most about English language testing -- English language testing specialists and scholars. For this, I will do my very best to make this professional academic organization more approachable, and more accessible to all those who are in the honorable profession of English language teaching. To this end, I heartily invite you to join us, and share and communicate your expertise and experience with us and with each other. We warmly welcome you. Thank you very much.
